The following academic awards are available to deserving grade 5 students during our grade 5 celebration each June.
Excellence in Literacy: This award is to recognize students who have excelled in English language Arts, specifically in speaking, listening, reading, and writing this year.
Excellence en littératie: This award is to recognize students who have excelled in the French Language Arts with regards to speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the French Immersion program.
Excellence in Numeracy: This award is to recognize students who have excelled in all strands of Math in Grade 5 English Prime.
Excellence en mathématiques: This award is to recognize students who have excelled in all strands of Math in Grade 5 French Immersion.
Excellence en français intensif: This award is to recognize students who have demonstrated an excellent performance in the 5-month Intensive French program regarding speaking, reading, and writing in French.
Excellence en immersion français: This award is designed to recognize students who have excelled in speaking, reading, and writing in the French Immersion program.
Fine Arts: This award recognizes students who have exhibited talent in multiple areas of Fine Arts, such as theatre, dance, singing and/or artwork.
Love of Learning-Science: This award recognizes students who have demonstrated a love of learning in science.
Love of Learning-Social Studies: This award recognizes students who have demonstrated a love of learning in Social Studies.

Sportsmanship Award: This is a very special award in recognition for participation in Physical Education class, intramurals, Fair Play, Athletic Abilities and cooperation.
Athletes of the Year: This award is in recognition for the greatest participation in physical activities at Liverpool Street School for the year 2018-2019. This award is to be given to 2 well deserving students who demonstrated: leadership, teamwork, work ethic, respect, fair play, sportsmanship and were great ambassadors for Liverpool Elementary.
Turn Around Award: This award recognizes improvement shown from Grade 3 to Grade 5. These students have demonstrated that through hard work and perseverance, success is possible.
Citizenship: This award is given to students who have shown great citizenship this year. They have consistently demonstrated this year that they are Safe, Respectful and Responsible students.
Music Awards
Principal’s Award: This award is given to students who have shown leadership in the school. They have demonstrated being responsible, being safe and being respectful. These students are great role models for Liverpool Street school.
